Cockatiels are one of the best beginner birds and a favorite for a lot of families because of their naturally mellow, gentle personalities. They’re very easygoing and affectionate, and tend to be much more relaxed and calm compared to many other parrot species. Cockatiels are also not aggressive birds, which makes them a great choice for first time bird owners, families with younger children, or anyone who just wants a more laid back companion. They also come in a wide variety of beautiful colors and patterns, so there’s a cockatiel for just about everyone. Male cockatiels are especially known for their whistling and singing abilities and can learn catchy tunes, songs, and sounds that make them really fun to interact with. All babies are DNA sexed with certification and will come with a small amount of food to help transition to your preferred diet. Weaned on a custom blend that includes pellets, dry seed mix, dried fruit & nut mix, and a blend of herbs for a healthy start. They also receive fresh chop and sprouted seeds on occasion.
